Professional Installation Tips

For a tour-level finish and optimal club safety, we recommend the following installation best practices:

• Avoid Reaming: Never ream or drill out the inside diameter of the ferrule. This compromises the material’s structural integrity and can cause the ferrule to loosen over time (“ferrule creep”).

• Thermal Adjustment: If the fit onto the shaft is tight, use a heat gun or submerge the ferrule in warm water for 30–60 seconds. This gently expands the polymer for a perfect, snug press-fit.

• Surface Preparation: Sand the shaft tip lightly to remove oxidation or old epoxy. Ensure the hosel is thoroughly cleaned of debris to guarantee a maximum-strength epoxy bond.

• Finishing (Turning Down): Once the epoxy has fully cured, use a belt sander (with a fine-grit belt) or hand-sand with 400-to-600 grit wet/dry paper to blend the ferrule edge perfectly flush with the hosel. A final pass with a soft cloth and a small amount of acetone will restore the high-gloss factory finish.
